From co-creating digital tools to preparing for real-world testing, during 29 September to 1 October 2026, the RenoVisor consortium held its third project meeting in Thurles, Ireland, to review progress, exchange ideas and define strategic planning.

With a strong emphasis on interactive sessions, partners focused on refining the three digital tools being developed by RenoVisor. Partners reviewed the latest developments of the Single-Family House (SFH) tool, and explored the latest Multi-Family House (MFH) tool prototype, providing direct feedback on its design, functionality and user journey. In particular, one of the meeting's highlights was an internal co-creation activity dedicated to the Energy Community (ENC) tool. Through interactive brainstorming sessions, partners brought together their different perspectives and expertise to explore how the tool could support collective decision-making, and they also agreed on concrete next steps for its development.

With the piloting phase approaching, partners dedicated time to discussing how the RenoVisor tools will be tested and evaluated in real-world settings across Ireland, Spain and the Netherlands. The discussions addressed pilot implementation strategies, user engagement and data collection methods to assess the tools' usability, effectiveness and contribution to renovation decision-making. Accessibility and social inclusion emerged as important priorities.

Additionally, the meeting offered an opportunity to reflect on the project's overall progress and strengthen coordination across the consortium. Partners reflected on overall performance and collaboration. This included, evaluating progress toward key KPIs, identifying potential risks along with mitigation strategies, and streamlining internal processes. Moreover, a dedicated planning session outlined RenoVisor’s upcoming presence at conferences, networking opportunities, and industry events.

The meeting closed with an exchange with John Flynn of the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI), sharing the latest developments in Ireland.

The three days also offered opportunities to strengthen relationships among partners and experience local Irish culture, including attending a GAA hurling match in Thurles.
